Our Story
Origins of the Sauce
Our story begins at a church food truck event in Miami, Florida, one night in 2010. Our founders, Antonio and his wife Maria, were participating in the event with their food truck: TheRedTruck. A chef friend of Antonio’s stopped by the truck and ordered his usual loaded bacon cheese fries. This time, however, the friend asked if Antonio had any special hot sauce that could go with the fries. Antonio hesitated for a second, then told his friend that if he gave him a few minutes he would make something special for him.
That’s when inspiration struck. Antonio gathered the ingredients he had in the truck and prepared the sauce. He knew he wanted to compliment the meal with a hot sauce, but in such a way that the meal could be enjoyed and not overtaken by the heat of the sauce. That is how our original deliciously sweet and spicy sauce came to be.
The sauce was an unmistakable hit from its debut. As time passed, Antonio and Maria slowly began tweaking the Original sauce and at the same time began to try other flavors that we cannot wait to share with you in the near future.
These sauces quickly became an all time favorite with the students and staff at the high school where TheRedTruck was permanently established for almost 12 years. Word got out about the sauce, and soon everyone began ordering the sauce to take home for their family and friends to enjoy.
A Sauce by any Other Name…
The demand for the sauce grew. Antonio was told again and again that he should bottle the sauce and sell it. With the support of friends and family, Antonio decided to start a company to begin selling the sauce. The name of the company came to Antonio at a dinner with friends and family.
Everyone was throwing ideas around for bottling the sauce and all that involves. Then, as everyone was brainstorming ideas for the company name, Antonio was struck with inspiration again.
“Father of Seven,” he said. The name was a hit, everyone agreed it fit perfectly. Antonio and Maria have seven children, all of whom are now adults. So the idea then took root: there would be seven sauces to represent the seven children, and the original sauce to represent the father. Father of Seven, LLC was created in February 2018.
Antonio started the company with the encouragement of his children, and thus the company has become a gift from him and his wife for their children. This sauce embodies our family’s enduring love for each other through the good and trying times. It’s this spice of life, a blend of love and dedication to great taste, that we want to share with you!
For the future, we envision the addition of delicious spreads, glazes, and of course, other sauces. We want to enhance every aspect of your meals. We are also looking to share other merchandise that will complement our vision of every customer becoming a part of our sauce family.
